Connecting History and the Present: Students Discover the Power of Heritage Revitalization
2024-07-09

Citizenship and Social Development Department recently organized a heritage revitalization study tour in Central and Sheung Wan, allowing students to delve into the city's historical tapestry and witness its transformation. We visited the historical Man Mo Temple, the Central Market, PMQ (formerly the Police Married Quarters), and the Tai Kwun, all of which stand as testaments to Hong Kong's diverse cultural heritage and showcase the city's innovative and vibrant development.

This tour provided students with a profound understanding that heritage revitalization not only preserves historical culture but also fosters social progress and infuses new energy into the city. As students gained insights into Hong Kong's history, they also reflected on how they can actively participate in social development and contribute to building a better Hong Kong.
