STEAM Singapore Study Tour
2025-05-04

From April 30th to May 4th, 2025, 30 students participated in a five-day STEAM study tour to Singapore. The tour provided students with valuable exposure to real-world applications of STEAM through university visits and hands-on experiences.

At the National University of Singapore, students toured the campus and engaged in academic exchanges with university students, gaining insights into university-level research and innovation in environmental and biomedical sciences.

At Nanyang Polytechnic, students participated in a collaborative robotics workshop, where they explored how collaborative robots (cobots) are programmed and deployed to work alongside humans in manufacturing industries. They learned about different types of cobots, their programming methods, and their role in shaping future workplaces.

Students also visited the Sustainable Singapore Gallery and Science Centre Singapore, where they explored how technology and scientific research contribute to urban sustainability and life sciences. At the Gallery, they learned about Singapore’s data-driven strategies in environmental planning, green architecture, and water resource management. At the Science Centre, they participated in a hands-on workshop titled “DNA and Us,” conducting experiments in genetics and molecular biology.

This immersive STEAM study tour expanded students’ scientific and technological horizons and enhanced their motivation to pursue innovation in their future studies.
