Ningbo and Shanghai Sister School Study Tour
2026-03-27

From 27 to 31 March 2026, our Secondary 1 to 3 students took part in a five-day study tour in Shanghai and Ningbo, giving them a firsthand exploration of the country's cultural heritage and modern developments.

The journey began in Shanghai, where students visited the Shanghai Museum (East Wing) and the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum to experience the contrast between ancient Chinese history and modern technology. They also ascended the Oriental Pearl TV Tower for a bird's-eye view of the bustling Lujiazui financial district, experiencing Shanghai's energy as a global financial hub. The group then travelled to the historic city of Ningbo, where they visited Tianyi Pavilion, the oldest surviving private library in the world, and explored the Ningbo Guild Hall Museum to learn about the history and work ethic of local merchants.

A key highlight of the trip was the visit to our sister school, Ningbo Zhenhai Jiaochuan Academy. Through classroom lessons and joint activities, students from both schools had the opportunity to connect and exchange thoughts on daily school life, study tips, and future career plans.

Overall, the trip offered students a valuable opportunity to see how tradition and modern development coexist. It was a rewarding experience that broadened their horizons and deepened their connection to the country's history and culture.
