We are pleased to announce that Wai Sum-yi, a student of S5 and the Chairperson of our School Community Service Team, has been awarded the Championship (Secondary School Category) in the "Yuen Long District Outstanding Volunteer Selection 2025." This prestigious competition was co-organized by the Social Welfare Department and the Coordinating Committee on the Promotion of Volunteer Service.

The prize presentation ceremony was successfully held on 22 March 2026. The award aims to commend outstanding volunteers who exemplify the core values of "Care and Mutual Help." Following a rigorous adjudication process, Sum-yi received high acclaim from the judging panel, fully demonstrating our students’ steadfast commitment to community service and the exemplary qualities of civic responsibility nurtured at our school.

During the ceremony, Sum-yi was invited to serve as a guest speaker and share her insights on volunteerism. In her speech, she remarked that volunteering is not merely a unilateral act of giving, but a reciprocal journey of enrichment and personal growth. Through her leadership in organizing diverse service projects, she has cultivated profound empathy and achieved personal growth.

Sum-yi expressed her aspiration to continue contributing to society with compassion, working towards building a more harmonious and inclusive community in Yuen Long.
