Our school’s Gifted Education Team nominated 2 students to join the Greater Bay Area Gifted Story-telling and Speech Competition in Putonghua in November, 2023. Under the trainings provided by the Head of Putonghua Department, 2 students achieved notable recognition. Chan Hei-yee (S1) received the prestigious 'Star of the Star' Award, while GUAN Lau-ping (S4) was honored with the 'Silver Award'. Being the recipient of the 'Star of the Star' Award, Chan Hei-yee was cordially invited by the Hong Kong Gifted Education Teachers' Association to deliver an inspiring speech in Putonghua as a guest performer during the Hong Kong Gifted Education Teachers' Association’s Annual Dinner cum Keynote Speech at The University of Hong Kong. Her exceptional performance garnered praise from the distinguished guests in attendance, including Mr Jasper Tsang Yok-sing GBM, JP; Mr Tang Fei, MH; and Ms Candy Chea Shuk Mui, MH.
