New Senior Secondary & Education for Sustainable Development Programme is a collaborative learning programmme organized by the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. Through a series of integrated student-centred activities such as seminars, forums, interactive thematic workshops, visits and an inter-school award-bearing competition, it aims to enhance students' understanding of themselves, society, the physical environment and sustainable development. Our school joined two teams, namely “Built Environment-Building Revitalization / Place Making: Building Communities through Public Space Design” and “Mental & Behavioral Health”.
For the Building Environment Team, students accomplished a thorough revitalization plan of Pun Uk and their project has won the Grand ESD Award (Grade I), the Best Broad Display Design Award, the Best Creativity Award, the Content Award and also the Presentation Award. As our project has received accolades at the final competition, the judges have strongly recommended our students to submit it to Conserve and Revitalise Hong Kong Heritage.
After attending different workshops and study tours, our students showed their passion and great work in the final presentation. Our Mental & Behavioral Health Team has won the Most Popular Presentation rated by students, the Grand ESD Award (Grade III), the Creativity Award and also the Presentation Award.
