Chiu Lut Sau Memorial Secondary School held its 33rd Annual Speech Day on 5 December, 2015. Hundreds of enthusiastic graduates, prize-winners and their families, guests, alumni, students and other stakeholders of our school attended the ceremony. This year, we were especially honoured to have Mr. TSE Hing-siu, Jackie, a distinguished alumnus of our school and a pilot of Cathay Pacific Airways, as our Guest of Honour.
The Principal, Mr. KONG Yick-cheong, presented the school report in which he highlighted the achievements and the outstanding results of the graduates in the fourth Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination. Mr. KONG also emphasized students’ all-round development and the awards they earned in a wide spectrum of aspects including scholarships from external organisations, sports, music and drama etc. in 2014-15. Finally, Mr. KONG expressed his gratitude to our former Principal, Mrs. LO CHOY Yin-fon, Margaret, for her unflinching dedication to serving CLSMSS from 2005 to 2015; and the SMC members, the PTA, the Alumni Association, the Assistant Principals and all staff members for their support and contribution to the school.
Our Guest of Honour, Mr. TSE, addressed to the graduates with an inspiring speech. He shared tips for overcoming adversity and strategies for reaching personal and professional goals with the graduates. He reminded students that it is important to find directions and set goals in their life. Mr. TSE encouraged students to keep pursuing their dreams with perseverance and passion.
Lastly, FUNG Wing-yan of 6A, delivered a Vote of Thanks to the school on behalf of all graduates. The ceremony ended in a joyful atmosphere with the delightful and joyous performances of the School Orchestra, the Dance Club and the School Choir.
