On 9th April 2016, 27 Form 3 to 5 students took part in the Peacemakers’ Cultural Celebration organized by the UNESCO Association at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park.
In the Peacemakers' Celebration, our students prepared two booths featuring ecological peace and cultural peace in Australia and social peace and cultural peace in Italy.
For the booth about ecological peace and cultural peace, we introduced the aboriginal culture, scenic spots and natural environment through 3D puzzles and a matching game. In this way, the public could know about the true meaning of ecological peace and cultural peace of Australia. Besides, we had a game which required the throwing of balls to answer questions so that we could let people know the significant features of Australia and attracted a lot of people.
For the booth concerning social peace and cultural peace, it was divided into three games: using puzzles to introduce the historical buildings in Italy; cultivating the visitors’ sense of Italian art through a matching game and increasing the visitors’ understanding of Italian cuisine through a rolling ball game which aimed to deepen their interest in the culture of Italy. The visitors could get to know more about the valuable culture of Italy through those three games.
