In 2015, 178 students sat for the examination. 97.2% of our students attained Level 2 or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese and English. The overall passing percentage was 98.2% with 62.2% attaining Level 4 or above. 78.7% of our students met the minimum entrance requirements for degree programmes (Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language and Level 2 or above in Mathematics and Liberal Studies).
Moreover, 15 students obtained total scores of 35 or more in their best seven subjects. Lau Choi-yee achieved outstanding results, 5** in 3 subjects, 5* in 3 subjects and 5 in 1 subject, a total score of 44. On top of her excellent results, she has been selected as one of only 20 awardees of the Multi-faceted Excellence Scholarship set up by the Home Affairs Bureau. Her success in obtaining the award is welcome proof of the school’s great effort in striving to provide an all-round education for students.
This has been a fruitful year for the school. Many of our students were able to pursue their studies at tertiary level. 63% are pursuing degree courses whereas 31% are furthering their studies through multiple pathways towards higher education.
We are delighted to see 113 of our students pursuing degree courses. It is especially pleasing to know that many have gained admission into the 3 renowned local universities, University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. 16 students have been admitted into HKU, 14 students into CUHK and 7 students into HKUST for degree courses, amongst which are coveted programmes such as CUHK’s Medical Programme, Nursing and Chinese Medicine, HKU’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Architectural Studies, HKUST’s Bachelor of Science and Business Administration.
We are proud of the achievements of the class of 2014/2015.
